Create A Resource

Part of effective ministry requires you to create resources and tools to expand the reach of your message. This final project will require you to make something useful to students and distribute it to other ministers in the district. You’ve received our resources – now it’s time to give back.

CHOOSE A PROBLEM TO SOLVE

Think about the students you have ministered to this year. What problem or question do they have which you feel a burden for? It doesn’t matter if there are already resources out there dealing with the problem – what matters is that you see a problem and want to solve it.

DECIDE ON A FORMAT TO USE

You can create a resource of almost any type – a booklet, a series of Bible studies, a website, a collection of YouTube videos, a training manual, etc. Find a format that will adequately deliver the content and that you also have the skill to pull off.

DISCUSS IT WITH YOUR COACH

Having selected a problem and chosen a format, talk with your coach and receive their blessing before proceeding.

MAKE IT

If your product is written, create the equivalent of 20-30 pages of material. If your product is video, 10-20 minutes of material is about right. If it’s something else, talk to Mack. These numbers are not written in stone – what matters most is that your product is useful. That may mean making it shorter or longer than these guidelines.

HAVE MACK EVALUATE IT

Email it to clementsxa@gmail.com. Expect him to require changes. You are encouraged to send draft copies along the way to prevent unpleasant surprises.

PASS IT ON

After Mack gives it the thumbs-up, email it to all the Chi Alpha leaders in the district so that they can use it.
