2017 All State Choir Application
Youth Pastors and Parents,
WE FINALLY HAVE A MISSISSIPPI ALL STATE CHOIR!!! The choir will be comprised of junior high and high school students from across the state and members of Chi Alpha Leadership Team @ Ole Miss. Each year students will audition for the choir or the band, and those selected will travel on tour in July. This is a gospel choir! (Think: Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton, Marvin Sapp, Hezekiah Walker, Tasha Cobbs, etc.)
The choir and tour are directed by our Chi Alpha @ Ole Miss missionaries, Mack and Courtney Clements. Students that are selected to be in the choir will return from tour changed forever by the power of the God and fired up to advance His kingdom. Not only will they perform incredible music and make lifetime relationships across the state, they will also be trained in altar working, how to pray for people to receive the Holy Spirit, how to share the gospel, how to defend their faith, stage presence when leading worship, and how to live a life that will transform their school campus, the marketplace and the world.
Once auditions are over, we will begin scheduling the churches for tour week. If you have any questions, need additional information, or if your church is interested in hosting the choir one night of tour week, please send an e-mail to Mack and Courtney Clements at OleMissXA@gmail.com.
